Named one of Forbes’ 30 under 30 in 2018, Emmy award winning writer and BAFTA nominated actor Ashly Burch has quickly made a name for herself in the entertainment industry through the scripts and characters she has brought to life on the page and screen. In 2020 Burch can be seen starring as Rachel in the Apple TV+ comedy series Mythic Quest, opposite Rob McElhenney (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia). Mythic Quest tackles the world of video game developers, and takes place in the fictional studio that created the biggest MMORPG in the world, Mythic Quest. Viewers meet them on the cusp of their biggest expansion yet, Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet. Aside from starring on the series, Burch also holds writing credits. Mythic Quest premiered on February 7, 2020.

While Burch is currently making a name for herself on the acting front in scripted television, she has a significant fan following from characters she has lent her voice to over the years. She starred as Aloy in the multi-million dollar franchise Horizon Zero Dawn (Sony Interactive Entertainment), Parvati Holcomb in The Outer Worlds, Chloe in Life is Strange, and held lead roles in Borderlands 2 and 3, Fallout, Call of Duty, Guardians of the Galaxy, Mortal Kombat X, Team Fortress 2 and a handful of other mainstream and independent games. Burch starred as Enid in the animation series Ok Ko Let’s Be Heroes (Cartoon Network) and voiced Ash in Final Space (Adult Swim) opposite Jane Lynch, Fred Armisen, and David Tennant. Her work in the video game world has garnered a slew of award nominations and wins, including: 2015 Golden Joystick Award for Performance of the Year, 2015 British Academy Games Awards for Performer, 2017 Golden Joystick Award for Best Gaming Performance and Breakout Performance, 2017 The Game Awards for Best Performance, 2018 British Academy Games Awards for Performer, and 2019 The Game Awards for Best Performance.

Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona Burch found her love for characters as a pre-teen while playing the popular video game Metal Gear Solid. She realized there were actors behind the voices and decided that she wanted to pursue a career in entertainment. Her first foray in the industry came in 2008 with the YouTube series Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin’? alongside her brother Anthony, and it quickly grabbed the attention of the gaming community. Upon graduating from college, Burch made the jump into the world of voiceovers full time and landed her first role in 2012 with Borderlands 2, voicing Tiny Tina, a hilarious demolitions expert who eventually starred in her own DLC pack. She has been working ever since.

As an award winning writer, Burch worked on Nickelodeon’s Glitch Techs and Hulu’s RocketJump: The Show. She secured a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Short Form Animated Program for her writing on Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time. On the charity front Burch is an avid donor to a handful of charities including the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Doctors Without Borders, and Fair Fight 2020. She is also an advocate for equal representation in video games, and is honored to have portrayed strong, powerful women in an industry that is mostly dominated by male protagonists.

When she is not in the writers room or on set, you can find Burch spending her free time indoor rock climbing, baking, and playing very complicated board games with friends. She currently resides in Los Angeles.
